The Les Paul Classic has weight relief chambers for a much lighter feel although this one is still on the heavy side.The pickups are 57 classic and hot super 57 pickups with coil splitting and a 15dB boost.  The Tune-o-Matic bridge and tailpiece are high quality chrome units. The frets go over the binding like you would see on an Epiphone and are very well cut on the ends with no sharp edges.  The body is made from mahogany with a maple top and the neck is  called  a 60s slim taper.   Looking at the back of the headstock you can see that the wood is a lighter colour on the left side compared to the right but non of this effects the tone of this guitar as its very resonant and versatile.  The control cavity is very different from the usual LP wiring and although it is very neat and secure I am not sure about its durability: with all the point to point wiring there is more to go wrong, but we will see!   All in all i think this is a very versatile guitar.
